Welcome to the Soldiers Point Lions Club

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things - supporting people with a disability, community greening, fundraising for worthwhile causes.

Port Stephens is located just over 200 kilometres (a 2.5 hour drive) north of Sydney and 50 kilometres (45 minutes drive) north of Newcastle. A deepwater harbour, it is 2.5 times the size of Sydney Harbour, and extends over 20 kilometres inland.

Soldiers Point is one of the lesser known jewels in the crown that is Port Stephens and lies on a peninsula that juts out from the southern shores of Port Stephens.

It separates the eastern third of the port from the western part. The town was called Friendship Point before the Corporal's Guard was stationed there (hence its name). It's close to the popular Nelson Bay and has a fine marina, relaxed lifestyle, calm beach waters and great fishing.

Be a part of the change. Join the Soldiers Point Lions Club.

We are the Lions

We meet the needs of our local communities and the world.

Our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.

Join us in making our communities and the world better places to live.

Becoming a Lion

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.
